The European Union, through the Mediterranean Cross-Border Cooperation Programme ‘ENI CBC MED’, has approved to support the PPI4MED project to promote the use of public procurement of innovation in Mediterranean countries, through the Scientific Councils of five countries in the area.
The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) – leads the initiative together with four scientific institutions of the Mediterranean region, represented by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), the National Agency for Scientific Research Promotion (ANPR), the National Research Centre (NRC) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCRD), to design and implement a model for the commercialisation of scientific results based on Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) framework, leveraging the public sector’s purchasing capacity.
To celebrate the start of PPI4MED project, a kick-off meeting (KoM) will be held on 5 November 2020.
